General Meetings
Greensleeves is somewhat unique in that we have separate business meetings from our project meetings. These occur on the 3rd Monday of the month at the Maltby Community Clubhouse. These are required for all Greensleeves youth members.
A general meeting (or business meeting) usually starts with a game, pledges, and roll call before moving into old and new business. This is the one time each month where all our club members are in one place! After the business meeting we teach a skill or 4-H component that is applicable to all youth: record keeping, record books, judging, oral reasons, poster making, etc. In December we break from the education portion and have a holiday party!

Project Meetings
Greensleeves has a wide array of projects (areas of interest) to offer youth! Each of these projects meets at a specific time each month. Some projects are county projects in that they only meet at the county level, not the club level, and meetings include youth from many clubs in the county; Veterinary Science is one project that only meets at county level.
Club Requirements:
Our club has a few requirements which teach youth valuable life skills that you should be aware of if you are hoping to become a member and plan on showing at Evergreen State Fair!

1. All youth are required to attend our monthly general meeting (3rd Monday).

2. All youth over the age of Cloverbud are required to keep a project and a permanent record book. We have quarterly record book checks. Youth must submit their record books for two checks per year prior to fair. (We allow a wide range of record keeping methods, not just the standard 4-H book)

3. All youth must participate in one club community service activity each year that gives back to the Maltby Community Club. Our usual community service activity is to participate in the Clubhouse Clean Up on April 4, 2026.

4. Pay $10 per member club dues to Greensleeves (cap of $30 per family; this is in addition to the 4-H Online fees). Due by 1/31.

5. All youth over the age of Cloverbud are required to give a public demonstration at club level (or higher).

6. Participate in our annual club fundraiser, which is the Spring Small Animal Show. For 2026 it will be on March 21st.

7. All families are required to help with club activities in some way—many hands make light work! Most are one-time commitments, but some are continual.
Next Steps!
